KIM Jong-un's pop star ex who was once said to have been executed for making a porn film has now been appointed his right-hand woman, it has emerged.

Hyon Song-wol has been at the temperamental tyrant's side for several high-profile factory visits and last week’s Mass Games opening night.

The Moranbong Band frontwoman, whose hit 2005 tune was a tribute to hardworking textile workers, was photographed with Kim's entourage in the rogue state.

Earlier this year, South Korea’s The Chosun Ilbo newspaper reported Hyon and other performers had been executed by a firing squad on the leader’s orders for making the x-rated movie.

However, on Tuesday she was named the new vice director of the North Korean ruling party’s Propaganda and Agitation Department, state media reported.

Her popular song features the patriotic lyrics, “They say I am a virgin on a stallion, Mounting a stallion my Dear Leader gave me/All my life I will live to uphold his name!”

Hyon, 42, who is a member of the central committee of the Workers’ Party, has reportedly known Kim, 35, since they were teenagers.

Reports she had been killed off were hardly surprising as Kim has a history of getting rid of those who are close to him.

Earlier today it was claimed he executed one of his own generals by throwing him into a piranha-filled fish tank.

The North Korean despot apparently used the tank that was built specifically as a new method of execution, in his Pyongyang presidential palace.

The despot also reportedly executed four foreign ministry workers over his failed "peace" talks with Donald Trump.

The officials are said to have been slaughtered by a firing squad in the North Korean capital after the much-heralded summit in Vietnam broke down.

It was claimed Kim had even ordered the execution of Kim Hyok-chol, his chief envoy on US affairs, as punishment.

Several other senior officials, including Kim Yong-chol, his powerful former spy chief, were forced to undergo hard labour and political re-education, according to the Chosun Ilbo account.

The North Korean leader was believed to be angry that his aides had not alerted him that the US intended to confront him with intelligence reports about hidden weapons sites.

However, doubts were then cast over the reports when Kim Yong-chol appeared at a concert a few seats away from the North Korean leader at the weekend.
