Lt. Eric Hosette’s funeral service was held Saturday in Clinton, Iowa.

We heard his “End of Watch” call:

“Lt. Hosette?  From Law Center.  Lt. Hosette from Law Center.
Having heard no response from Lt. Hosette we know that Eric has responded to his last call on January 5th, 2019 and that all of our brother and sister firefighters now have another guardian looking over them.”

We also heard the the Fireman’s Prayer:

“Wherever flames may rage give me strength to save a life whatever be its age.
Help me embrace a little child before it is too late or save an older person from a horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout, quickly and efficiently to  put the fire out.
I want to fulfill my calling to give the best in me to guard my friend and neighbor and protect his property.
And if according to your will I must answer death’s call bless with your protecting hand my family, one and all.
